Scottish pensions would be reduced

Oh my God -even the SNP themselves are now saying it.
They would have to cut back pensions (the state pension AND public pensions)  - if Scotland becomes independent.
In complete contrast to his public SNP statements, John Swinney (their finance minister), admits in a secret paper that there would be problems. He then spells them out.
For years the Scot Nats have talked about how wealthy Scotland could be because of North Sea Oil. But finally they are admitting that North Sea Oil is running out.
Without money from England there will not be enough to pay Scotland's pensioners.
We need England
Pay attention present and future pensioners

  1. This is the first time that I've ever hear a Scot suggest that Scotland needs England to help fund the country either at present or in the future. Usually one hears how England is stealing Scottish wealth, based on the fallacious assumption that all the oil in the North Sea is Scottish. Down here, we see ourself paying for Scottish free University tuition, cheaper NHS charges, better/cheaper care for us oldies, etc.

If we were given a vote in England on Scottish Independence, Salmond would get it with an overwhelming majority! What annoys the English in particular is that the Scottish Parliament votes to have something in Scotland, and then the Scottish MPs at Westminster vote against it for the English.

Even so, by saying that "We need England", you are taking a great risk of being deported!
